Home of O'Lenas Playboy & Son of a Gun (imp)
Son of a Gun - is the only son of Hall of Fame Reining Horse "Gunner" to stand in Australia. "Sonny" is a loud overo/splashed white horse with 2 blue eyes. His sire "Gunner" is a splashed white and his dam "Miss Modern Art" is an overo - Sonny carries both gene types and is throwing both colour patterns to solid mares. He is getting a very high percentage of coloured foals with about 95% white faces and blue eyes. "Sonny" stands at 15hh making him one of the bigger "Gunners". He has enormous topline strength and a long sloping hip (almost a 45 degree angle). His butt muscling ties down low into his hocks and he is very deep through the stifle and gaskin, with tonnes of bone. Not only has Sonny got his fathers body shape, he also has his very cool, laid back nature. We are very pleased to say that he is throwing both the cool nature and body type into his babies.
O Lenas Playboy - "Playboy" is bred to work - he is the only Paint grandson of the world famous cutting, cowhorse, reining champion sire "Doc O'Lena" to stand in Australia. His sire, "Gay O'Lena" is a World Champion Roping horse that excelled in all cattle events. His dam, "Tennessee Ten" was our last producing mare by C-Note's Playboy (imp). Although C-Note was a National Champion at Halter both here and in the USA, he came from a long line of roping and cowhorses.

We are a very small stud, just starting out. Our current primary stallion is registered Fewspot/Varnish "Winato Doc Haliday" 60540 (Sire: Winato Top Brave, Dam: Winato Kyloe Kelly) orginally bred by J Talbot. He is a gorgeous stallion, with a very quiet and easy temperament who has consistently bred colour to our mares. Please email for photographs of 2008 foals.
We also have a Palomino Quarter Horse stallion, rising 4 in 2009, "Monstarr Peppys Rustler" Q58020 who will be serving in 2009. He has a metallic (Champagne) sheen to his coat, and we'll know in 2010 if he passes this on to his foals.
Service fee for "Winato Doc Haliday" is currently $200 for a paddock service. Next year, "Monstarr Peppys Rustler" will stand at the same fee for the first 2 years.
We are located at Jerrong, between the Southern Highlands and the Central Tablelands on 315 acres and over the next few years will also be selling handled yearlings and trained Appaloosa and QH mounts, suitable for taking further.
